As we wrap up our first week at Elizabeth Lee, there’s been one category we keep returning to: needlepoint.
From the very beginning, needlepoint felt like an essential part of this shop: a hobby rooted in tradition, creativity, and taking the time to make something by hand. During our first week, it’s been especially meaningful to see how strongly that sentiment has resonated. Needlepoint has quickly become one of our most-loved sections, and watching canvases, kits, and accessories head out the door has been a joy.
There’s something grounding about needlepoint. It invites you to slow down, work with your hands, and spend time on something that doesn’t need to be rushed. In a world that often moves quickly, it’s been encouraging to see so many people reaching for hobbies that feel intentional and lasting.
This week, we are excited to welcome new designs from Morgan Julia Designs, a needlepoint designer who draws inspiration from classic, preppy, and nautical elements. Every canvas is hand-painted and designed with a modern twist.
We’ve also loved helping new stitchers find a place to begin. Our First Stitch collection was created as a gentle introduction to the hobby with simple designs, approachable kits, and accessories that make getting started feel easy and welcoming. Whether needlepoint is a longtime favorite or something entirely new, we believe there’s room for everyone at the canvas.
As Elizabeth Lee continues to take shape, needlepoint has become more than just a category. It’s a reflection of the kind of life we hope to encourage here: one filled with thoughtful moments, favorite pastimes, and things made slowly and with care.
